Aynsley Corset Teacup - Wine Red with Pink/blue/purple flowers (24)

Another sweet wine red or burgundy cup and saucer with the traditional colour on the outside and white on the inside.  The flower pattern has pink, purple, blue and yellow flowers.  I believe mom and dad brought me this one from Hospice in Fredericton.

Description: Vintage Bone China teacup and saucer set, produced in England during the 1930s or 1940s.  Features a deep red or burgundy exterior with a white interior decorated with floral motifs, such as cabbage roses. The set is finished with a gold gilt trim on the rim and handle.
Cup: Flowers depicted inside the cup include a large pink rose, purple and yellow tulip like flower, smaller sprigs of orange blossoms, small purple flowers  and blue forget-me-nots.
Handle: Standard C-shaped loop handle. White with gold trim along it's edge and where it joins the cup body.
Saucer: Deep burgundy exterior and delicate gold trim.
Markings: Aynsley England Bone China back stamp c1934-1950 - Overglaze black pen marking 4644 and 3 dots on cup. 2 dots on saucer.  
Condition: Good condition. Usage wear marks on saucer and cup are minimal.
